The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) says it shared N2 trillion with the three tiers of government in July 2025. According to a statement on Friday by Muhammed Manga, director of information and public relations, ministry of finance, the amount was disclosed at the August 2025 meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wale Edun, minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy. The committee said the gross total revenue was N3.83 trillion, out of which N2 trillion was shared among the three tiers. The Benue state house of assembly has suspended four members for allegedly plotting to impeach Aondona Dajoh, the speaker. Channels Television reports that the suspended lawmakers are Alfred Berger, representing Makurdi north; Terna Shimawua of Kian; Cyril Ekong of Obi; and James Umoru representing Apa constituency. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Bashir Haske, a businessman and son-in-law of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, wanted over allegations of criminal conspiracy and money laundering. In a notice issued by Dele Oyewale, EFCC spokesperson, the anti-graft agency urged members of the public to provide any information that could lead to Haske’s arrest. “The public is hereby notified that Abdullahi Bashir Haske, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the EFCC in an alleged case of criminal conspiracy and money laundering,” the statement reads.
