The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward One, Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State, has expressed deep appreciation to a prominent party chieftain, Hon. Segun Folorunso, for donating a million worth of food items to party faithfuls during the ongoing Ramadan and Lenten seasons.
The gesture, which included essential food packages distributed to members, was aimed at easing the burden on party faithfuls amid the holy periods of fasting and reflection.
Speaking on behalf of the ward’s leadership and members, the PDP Ward One Chairman, Mr. Temitope, commended Folorunso for his consistent support and generosity toward the party at the grassroots level.
He described the donation as a timely and thoughtful act that demonstrates true commitment to the welfare of party members, especially during this season of spiritual observance and sacrifice.
“The leadership and members of PDP Ward One, Lagelu, are profoundly grateful to Hon. Segun Folorunso for this wonderful package of a million naira in value,” Mr. Temitope said.
“This kind gesture has brought relief and joy to many of our members who are observing the fast. It’s one way of demonstrating his love for our great party and for our people.”
Folorunso, often recognised for his grassroots engagement in Lagelu LGA, has been praised in recent times for similar interventions that strengthen party unity and community ties.
