The Eleruko of Eruko, Olawatosin Oladimeji SEGELU, has expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, and the entire Council for honouring the memory of his late father, Hon. Olusegun Oladimeji SEGELU, in recognition of his outstanding service and political contributions.
The appreciation was conveyed during the commissioning ceremony of the Lagelu Legislative Building, named after the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, held yesterday in Lagelu Local Government Secretariat.
According to the Eleruko of Eruko, the posthumous recognition reflects the enduring legacy, dedication, and commitment of the late Hon. SEGELU, who served with distinction as a former politician and a passionate advocate for grassroots development, good governance, and community advancement.
He commended Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen for his visionary leadership, commitment to institutional growth, and respect for past leaders who laid the foundation for political progress in Lagelu Local Government.
“This honour is a powerful reminder that true service to humanity never goes unnoticed. My late father devoted his life to public service, and this recognition by the Lagelu Local Government Council means a great deal to our family and the people of Eruko,” he said.
The Eleruko further appreciated the Legislative Arm, Council Management, Party Leaders, Traditional Rulers, Community Stakeholders, and all dignitaries present for their roles in making the event historic and meaningful.
He prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and success for Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, and the entire Lagelu Local Government administration in their drive to deliver sustainable development and democratic dividends to the people.
