The Supervisory Councillor for Women Affairs in Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Philips Olusola Ebun, has firmly debunked circulating rumours suggesting her defection to the Accord Party, describing the claims as false, misleading, and politically motivated.
In a strong statement issued on Sunday, Hon. Philips Olusola Ebun reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), pledging continued loyalty to the party’s leadership and progressive agenda in Oyo State.
She reiterated her total support for the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, praising his people-centered policies, developmental strides, and transformative governance across the state.
Hon. Ebun also pledged her continued allegiance to the Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, commending his inclusive leadership style, grassroots development initiatives, and commitment to strengthening party unity within the council.
Furthermore, she expressed her strong backing for the Lagelu Legislature, particularly Hon. Olajide Akintunde AKT, acknowledging his legislative excellence, loyalty to the party, and dedication to the progress of Lagelu State Constituency.
“I remain a committed and proud member of the Peoples Democratic Party. Any rumour suggesting otherwise is a fabrication by mischief-makers. My loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde, Chairman Mudashiru Kamorudeen, Hon. Olajide Akintunde AKT, and the PDP family remains total and unshaken,” Hon. Ebun declared.
She called on party members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the rumour, emphasizing her resolve to continue championing women empowerment, community development, and the collective vision of the PDP in Lagelu Local Government.
