The newly built Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat in Oyo State, which is slated to be commissioned on the Tuesday, 3rd of February 2026 in Ibadan is more than the unveiling of a structure; it is the unveiling of vision, strength, and purposeful leadership. It is a bold statement that the PDP remains a united, organized, and forward-looking political party in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
Dr. Temitope Ademola Afolabi has extended his heartfelt congratulations and profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for this landmark achievement, describes it as a strategic and historic step that further positions PDP as the most formidable and people-centered party in the state.
According to Dr. Afolabi, Governor Seyi Makinde has once again demonstrated that leadership is not only about winning elections but about strengthening institutions, building structures that endure, and investing in the future of the party and democracy itself.
“This PDP Secretariat stands as a symbol of unity, discipline, and preparedness. It reflects the kind of leadership His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, represents—leadership that plans ahead, builds strong foundations, and inspires confidence,” Dr. Afolabi stated.
He further noted that under Governor Seyi Makinde’s stewardship, the PDP in Oyo State has grown from strength to strength, enjoying unmatched grassroot acceptance, internal cohesion, and consistent electoral victories. The new secretariat, he said, will serve as a hub for strategic planning, capacity building, party administration, and inclusive engagement among party stakeholders.
Dr. Temitope Ademola Afolabi emphasized that Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration has not only delivered visible dividends of democracy to the people of Oyo State but has also repositioned the PDP as a model of good governance, transparency, and accountability in Nigeria.
“PDP is great because its leadership listens to the people. PDP is strong because it delivers. PDP continues to grow because leaders like Governor Seyi Makinde believe in building legacies, not just titles,” he added.
While congratulating party leaders, faithfuls, and supporters across the state, Dr. Temitope Ademola Afolabi called on all PDP members to see the new secretariat as a rallying point for unity, loyalty, and renewed commitment to the party’s ideals.
He reaffirmed his unwavering support for Governor Makinde and pledged continued dedication to the growth of the PDP, the progress of Oyo State, and the collective aspiration for a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.
As Oyo State continues to set the pace in governance and party organization, one message rings clear and loud: that PDP is great, PDP is united, and under visionary leadership, the future remains bright.
