Dr. Debo Akande, the Phenomenal Executive Adviser to the Governor of Oyo State on Agribusiness and International Cooperation and Development, and Director-General of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), has delivered a stirring message of Hope, resilience, and renewed momentum to farmers, Agripreneurs, investors, and international partners as the state looks ahead to 2026.
In his forward-looking address, Dr. Akande reaffirmed the commitment of the Oyo State Government, under the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, to deepen Agribusiness reforms, expand value chains, and secure sustainable prosperity for all stakeholders. According to him, Agribusiness remains the strongest pathway to shared wealth, food security, and inclusive growth in Oyo State and beyond.
He emphasized that OYSADA has laid solid foundations in land aggregation, farmer support systems, private-sector partnerships, and international collaborations, positioning the state as a prime destination for Agribusiness investment. “We are not just producing crops; we are building systems—systems that guarantee productivity, profitability, and prosperity,” Dr. Akande noted.
Addressing farmers and Agripreneurs, he urged them to remain steadfast and innovative, assuring them of continuous government backing through policy stability, access to markets, improved infrastructure, and technical support. To investors and development partners across the globe, he sent a clear signal that Oyo State is open, ready, and reliable, with Agriculture serving as the new crude oil of the economy.
