Hon. Olajide Akintunde, popularly known as AKT, the lawmaker representing Lagelu State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, has extended warm Christmas and New Year goodwill to his constituents with the distribution of festive packages across the constituency.
The seasonal intervention, which cut across the 14 wards of Lagelu Local Government, comprised 150 bags of rice and other food items, cash gifts, and quality cloth materials, aimed at cushioning the economic effects of the festive season and strengthening grassroots inclusion.
Beneficiaries of the initiative included leaders’ forum members, ward chairmen across the 14 wards, local government executives, and party members, reflecting the lawmaker’s all-inclusive approach to leadership and constituency engagement.
The well-attended event was anchored by the Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Wasiu, who coordinated the programme in honour of Hon. Akintunde and commended his consistency in putting the people first.
Speaking through representatives, Hon. Akintunde reiterated his commitment to people-oriented representation, stressing that the gesture was part of his enduring resolve to share joy with the people and appreciate party stakeholders and constituents for their continuous support.
