The member representing Lagelu State Constituency in Oyo State House of assembly, Hon. Olajide Akintunde AKT has extended his congratulation to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on his recent birthday celebration and ascension as the 44th Olubadan and Paramount Ruler of Ibadan Kingdom.
In a release made available to the press, the Lawmaker send message that feels like a warm embrace from the community, the legislator hailed the revered monarch as a towering figure, a true “institution like no other,” whose reign promises to shine as a beacon of hope and unity.
Hon AKT emphasized the striking symbolism surrounding the monarch’s installation, noting that Oba Ladoja, born in 1944, emerged as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland — a coincidence he described as a divine alignment that marks a special season in the city’s history. The official coronation, conducted by the Oyo State Government on September 26, followed the monarch’s 81st birthday on September 25, making the celebrations even more significant.
Hon AKT who doubles as the chairman house committee on Local government, Chieftaincy matter and State Honours prayed for Oba Ladoja to enjoy a long, healthy, and impactful reign. “May your years on the throne be many, blessed with strength and wisdom to lead Ibadan toward greater heights,” he said.
