Back in 2019, during one of the most defining moments in Oyo State politics, Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, former Governor of Oyo State, rallied support for Engr. Seyi Makinde. With the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) standing firmly behind him, Ladoja lifted Makinde’s hand in public endorsement — a gesture of faith, solidarity, and political fatherhood. That singular support helped to birth a new era in Oyo State.
Fast forward to Friday, 26th September, 2025 — history takes another divine turn. This time, it will be Governor Seyi Makinde standing before the world, not to receive, but to give. He will present the Staff of Office to Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, now ascending as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
This is the reality of life: what goes around truly comes around. Yesterday’s supporter is today’s king. The hands that lifted another in 2019 will now be crowned in 2025.
It is a reminder to all — do good, for no one knows tomorrow. Positions change, seasons change, but goodness remains eternal.
Congratulations, Kabiyesi Oba Senator Adewolu Ladoja, as you mount the revered throne of your forefathers. May your reign bring peace, unity, and prosperity to Ibadanland.
