The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagelu Local Government Area successfully held its ward congresses on Saturday, marking a significant step in strengthening the party’s grassroots structure. The congresses, conducted peacefully across fourteen wards of the local government area-culminated in the election of new party executive members at ward levels.
The exercise, which drew participation from party faithfuls, stakeholders, and aspirants, was described as transparent and democratic by observers. Party faithfuls from across the wards gathered to elect new leaders to steer the party’s activities ahead of upcoming political engagements. Speaking at the conclusion of the congresses, the Executive Chairman of Lagelu, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, commended the members for their commitment to the party’s ideals and the orderly conduct of the elections. “This is a testament to the strength and unity within our party. The new executives have a crucial role to play in ensuring that the PDP remains a formidable force in Lagelu,” he stated.
