Oyo State government in its Executive Council meeting on Tuesday led by the Acting Governor, His Excellency Barr Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal has approved reconstruction and rehabilitation of major roads across the state.
In a statement issued on Tuesday on X, stated that the acting Governor of Oyo State approved the following road to be reconstructed:
Reconstruction/rehabilitation of the 13.6 km Ojoo Interchange-IITA-Moniya Junction-Akinyele Interchange with Spurs to New Oyo Expressway, Ibadan for the sum of N63,611,154,690.82. The road will be dual carriageway with six lanes and the duration of the project is 18 months.
Reconstruction/rehabilitation of the 30 km Okaka Junction-Otu-Igbojaiye-KAP Film Village Road and construction of bridges over Otu and Ofiki Rivers for the sum of N26,482,664,312.33. The duration of the project is 18 months.
Dualisation of the 6.2 km Ajia Junction (Ibadan Ife Interchange)-Nigeria Air Force Base Road for the sum of N17,187,255,757.07. The duration of the project is 12 months.
Reconstruction of Isaba-Ogundoyin Road, Eruwa (0.75 km) and Lanlate Garage Junction-Local Government Junction-Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic-Oke Ola Junction Road, Eruwa (1.9 km) for the sum of N4,146,068,573.56. The duration of the project is 12 months.
Completion of the reconstruction of the 12 km Apete-Awotan-Akufo Road and expansion of the scope of work to Akufo Farm Settlement Road (2.2 km) for the sum of N1,935,629,520.32.
Limited patching of selected roads in Ibadan metropolis, thermoplastic road marking and kerbs painting for the sum of N444,796,631.50.
Camping and hosting of under-20 female national football team in preparation for the Women’s World Cup qualifying match between Nigeria and Rwanda in Ibadan – the sum of N110,000,000 was approved.
Planting of economic trees on both sides of the 32 km (South East Wing) of the 110 km Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road, Ibadan for the sum of N108,044,103.50
