Born on December 9, 1984, Baale Olawatosin Olusegun Oladimeji Akintola SEGELU (Son of late Hon. Olusegun Oladimeji SEGELU) has always carried a deep sense of purpose — a calling that blends tradition, innovation, and service.

His early years were shaped in the heart of Abuja, where he began his education at Festival Road Primary School in Garki. From there, he continued to grow academically and personally at Abuja International Academy and Government Secondary School, Karshi. These formative experiences laid the foundation for a life driven by curiosity and resilience.

He pursued his first degree in Science Laboratory Technology at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, graduating in 2009. But his thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there. He ventured to Ireland, where he earned a certificate in Health and Safety from the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) at Athlone Institute of Technology. Over the years, he has collected several professional certifications in health and safety, eventually earning a second Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety Management from the Technological University of the Shannon, Ireland.

Furthermore, with a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence in Health and Medicine at the Centre for European Masters Programme (CEMP). His academic journey reflects a rare blend of scientific rigour and forward-thinking vision.

Beyond academia, Baale Olawatosin Olusegun Oladimeji Akintola is a dynamic entrepreneur. He leads Segelu Solar Solutions Ltd and STP Services Limited, two thriving companies based in Lagos and Ibadan that specialize in solar energy, equipment leasing, maintenance, and property management, His work is rooted in sustainability and empowerment — creating solutions that serve both people and the planet.

As the Baale of Eleruko, a Part II recognized chieftaincy under the Oyo State Traditional Council, he carries the weight and honour of his heritage with grace. He is also a proud member of the Lagelu Traditional Council, where he continues to advocate for cultural preservation and community development.
