In a move to call for fairness, equity and justice in the running of governance at all level in Oyo State, a public affairs analyst on Agidigbo FM, Comrade Shuara popularly known as ‘Onise Meje’ has claimed that the governance of Ibadan North local government is being running by strangers, non-indigenes and christians.

This statement was issued last week Saturday on a political program titled “Ibi ebawa de” anchored by Aare Olabode Anisoloja on Agidigbo 88.7FM, where he accused Governor Seyi Makinde of injustice, inequity in the selection of the member Oyo State house of assembly for both constituencies and council Chairman of Ibadan north.

Comrade Shuara claimed that the Constituency one of Ibadan north is been represented by Igbira, Constituency two from Egba land while the council chairman is from Ila and they were all Christians.- He further noted that as the house of representatives bye-election is approaching, the people’s democratic party also picked ‘Sagamu born’ as their candidate.

“When Governor Makinde was contesting in 2023, he said he’s for the purpose justice, equity and fairness but in Ibadan North, the reverse is the case. There is four strong political post in the ibadan north local government and were all occupied by non-indigenes and christians.

“Ibadan north constituency one representative is from Igbira, constituency two from Egba land and council chairman from Ila, and one political party still picked Sagamu born’ as their candidate to run for house of representatives bye-election”, the statement reads.

Comrade ‘Onise Meje’, while quoting Governor Seyi Makinde statement in 2023 during electioneering campaign where he said, He’s contesting for purpose of Fairness, Justice and Equity,- citing reversal in the case of Ibadan North”.

Comrade Shuara, however called on the Central Council of Ibadan Indigene (CCII), Omo Ajorosun, Ibadan Muslim Community, MUSWEN and Ibadan indigenes home and abroad to rise and stand for their right.
