In the midst of celebration of an hero, father and Confidant to all, Olubadan of Ibadan, HRH Oba Owolabi Olakulehin attains 90 years, the chairman house committee on local government , Chieftaincy matter and state honors, Hon Olajide Akintunde (AKT) has acknowledged the development strides of the monarch since ascending the throne.
Hon AKT, in a statement made available to press, said despite advancing in age, over the years, the monarch has recorded many Achievements, developmental directive and preservation of our rich cultural heritage.
Hon AKT specifically explained that the monarch’s military experience has been put to good use and can be observed in the way Oba Olakulehin is running the affairs of West Africa’s largest city as Ibadan now enjoys peace over a year began his reign.
The Lawmaker described Oba Olakulehin as one of the few in his generation to have lived up to nine decades. Hon AKT said ninety years is not merely a passage of time, but a monumental journey filled with divine grace, profound impact, and enduring influence.
“I want to join eminent sons and daughters of Ibadan land to felicitate with Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin Ige on the occasion of his 90th birthday and first year coronation anniversary”, he said.
The House PDP Whip said Oba Olakulehin’s life stands as a beacon of dignity, cultural preservation, and visionary leadership. Through changing times and seasons, Oba Olakulehin remained a steady hand and a symbol of unity, guiding people with unmatched wisdom and fatherly strength.
“As Baba turns 90, I wish him the very best and a prosperous Ibadan under his leadership. I also assure that he would continue to have my support,” the statement added.
