A Magistrate Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, has ordered the remand of Alhaja Kafilat Kaola at the Oke Kura Correctional Centre over allegations of defamation against Alhaji Taofeek Akewugbagold.
Alhaja Kaola, a well-known Islamic preacher and On-Air Personality on Fresh FM Ibadan, is accused of making defamatory statements that allegedly damaged the reputation of the respected cleric.
She is widely known for her Islamic programme, Al Bayan with Alhaja Kaola, where she discusses religious teachings, women’s issues, and family life, attracting a large following across Oyo State.
Although full details of the alleged defamation remain sketchy, the court ruled that she be remanded while further investigations continue.
